Parkour and the mind

Denise Pirnbacher

Workshop
Have you ever wondered what happens in your brain while you are jumping or how your perception has changed since you do parkour?
With this workshop we will step into the mental aspects of parkour and its underlying neurological dynamics, explore why repetition is key and find strategies to overcome fear.
If you are fascinated by pushing limits, breaking jumps and training in height or have a general interest in how the brain works, this workshop is for you. Theory and practical approaches are well balanced.

Coach
Denise Pirnbacher has been coaching parkour for over ten years. She was traveling around the world for years to train with like-minded people, exchange inspiration and learn from different mentalities.
In 2024 she finished her masters degree in molecular biology with specialization in neuroscience. In her thesis she explored the connection of learning and neuroplasticity.
